10 Health Tips for Computer Users.

Unknown     1:53 AM     0
If you are like me who spend almost the entire day in front of
your computers doing whatever you are good at doing,
there are some health tips for you:

10 Health Tips for Computer Users

Stretch once an hour:

Do not sit in a posture for more than an hour. Lean forward, cross your arms in front of you, hold your knees, and push your knees apart, keeping your hands on them.
You’ll feel this stretch across your shoulder blades.
Stretch your fingers, arms, hands, and torso at regular intervals.

Exercise throughout the day:

Make sure you move your hands, legs, back, and neck every 10 minutes throughout the day.
Get up and tak
e short walks from your workstation periodically.

Maintain a good working posture:

- Hands, wrists and forearms are straight, in-line and roughly parallel to the floor.
-Head is level or bent slightly forward, forward facing, and balanced.
Generally it is in-line with the torso.
-Shoulders are relaxed and upper arms hang normally at the side of the body.
-Elbows stay in close to the body and are bent between 90 and 120 degrees.
-Feet are fully supported by floor or footrest.
-Back is fully supported with appropriate lumbar support when sitting vertical or leaning back slightly.
-Thighs and hips are supported by a well-padded seat and generally parallel to the floor.
-Knees are about the same height as the hips with the feet slightly forward.

Place and adjust the monitor:

Place the computer monitor at the recommended viewing distance and angle, adjusting it to the right clarity settings.

Position the pointer/mouse to maintain a straight and neutral wrist posture:
If the keyboard tray/surface is not large enough to accommodate both the keyboard and mouse,
try one of the following to limit stresses related to reaching and holding:

-A mouse platform positioned over the keyboard. This design allows the mouse to be used above the 10-key pad.
-A mouse tray next to the keyboard tray.
-A fingertip joystick attached to the keyboard.
-Pointing devices attached to the keyboard such as a touchpad.
-Point devices such as mouse that have the right size so that they fit the hand.
-Mousepad with a wrist rest.

Keep the keyboards at a comfortable position:

Placing keyboards, pointing devices, or working surfaces too high or too low may result in awkward wrist, arm, and shoulder postures.

Use mobile and size-adjustable chairs:

Desks that are not at the right height may force you to take awkward postures such as extending your arms to reach the keyboard or raising your shoulders.
Make sure that you have adequate clearance space for your thighs, legs, etc. particularly if you frequently change working postures.

Seating:

Opt for a chair that provides adequate support to your back, legs, buttocks, and arms.
For example, an ideal chair for your workstation should have the following:

-Backrest that adjusts well to the natural curvature of your spine and provides necessary lumbar support
-Comfortable seat that allows your feet to rest flat on the floor or a footrest that helps you adjust the height
-Soft armrests that allow your shoulders to relax and your elbows to stay close to your body
-Five-leg base with casters that allow easy movement along the floor

Keep the phone at your reach
:

Most office workers cannot do without a telephone at work.
Placing the telephone at the right place is as important as adjusting other workplace objects.
Keep the phone close enough to avoid repeated reaching.
Use a speaker phone or a headset for teleconferences or long conversations.

iPhone 6 vs Galaxy S5 (and Android)

iPhone 6 vs Galaxy S5 (and Android)
iPhone 6 vs Galaxy S5

The iPhone 6 is finally here, and with it comes a hype that only Apple can produce. Regardless of what features they stole from Android, the iPhone 6 will undoubtedly be a huge success for Apple. In the Android World we also have a device that prints money for its maker: theSamsung Galaxy S5. These two devices will dominate the mobile market for the remainder of this year, and most of next. It’s time to put them up against each other to see which device reigns supreme (check below for more comparisons).

Display

This has been a big area of focus for Apple since the iPhone 4′s “Retina Display,” and of course Samsung also takes great pride in this area. The iPhone has been slowing growing over time, but the iPhone 6 has been significantly increased in size. Apple has implemented a 4.7-inch display to finally answer the wishes of many users. Android fans will likely joke about how it took Apple so long to make the display bigger. It’s still smaller than the 5.1-inch Galaxy S5, but the competition is getting closer.
Resolution is another story. Apple now has what they call “Retina HD” displays in the new iPhone 6. It’s only 1334 x 750 compared to the 1080p display on the S5. Apple’s displays have traditional been great despite lower resolution compared to their Android counterparts. We expect the same from these new devices.

Camera

Camera is one area where numbers don’t matter so much. The Galaxy S5 has a whopping 16MP camera, but even the iPhone 5S takes better photos. With the iPhone 6 Apple is sticking with a 8MP sensor, but the sensor is all-new, and they’ve added faster focus, and “digital” image stabilization. Android devices are getting close to the iPhone (and Windows Phone devices may be better), but the iPhone is still king. Still, unless you’re a real photobuff you will be happy with the photos from the S5 and other high-end flagships.

Software

“iOS, what do you want to be when you grow up?”“I want to be just like Android!”
The iPhone 6 comes with Apple’s latest version of iOS. In iOS 8 they’ve added many new features, many of which have a distinct Android flavor to them. For example, the keyboard gives “QuickType” word suggestions, and you can even use 3rd-party keyboards. A feature that has been a staple of Android for years. They’ve also added “Hey Siri” command for always-listening  support, widgets in the Notification Center for 3rd-party apps, and actionable notifications. Android still has the upper hand in software functionality, the gap is closing.
We should also note that Apple has added a bunch of features called “Continuity.” These features are designed to make your iPhone work seamlessly with your MacBook. For example, you can “Handoff” webpages from Mobile Safari to you desktop, send texts and receive phone calls on your Mac, and more. Android has the capability to do this, but Google has not yet fully integrated it. This is one area where Apple is leading the way.

Design

By far one of the biggest differences between the iPhone 6, Galaxy S5, and other Android devices is design. You can see similarities in Android skins from device to device, but iOS 8 and Android look nothing alike. Hardware is, of course, extremely different as well. The Galaxy S5 is plastic and a little cheap feeling. The iPhone is the ultimate premium device. The design of the iPhone is a status symbol to many people. Samsung is getting close to that level, but still has a long way to go.
For my money the HTC One M8 is the Android device that comes closest to Apple’s build quality. Ultimately design is up to the individual. There are some people who actually prefer the way the Galaxy S5 looks. That’s perfectly fine. The size of these devices will also play a big part in your decision. The iPhone is bigger now, but there are still plenty of much larger Android phones.
iPhone 6 vs Android
So, which phone is the best? We want to hear from you! Are you ditching Android for the iPhone 6? Are you unimpressed by Apple’s latest iPhone?

Applying Link2SD [Froyo Only]

Unknown     5:43 AM     0
NOTE: Link2SD works only on Froyo

[B]Features:
Creates and removes link for apk, dex and lib files of the applications you select
Lists applications, shows their link status
Sorts and filters applications
Displays available space information of internal storage, SD card and SD card 2nd partition.

What you need:
root permission.
a second partition on your SD card. You should have two partitions on SD card and both should be primary.

The first FAT partition is your standard SD card storage. The second partition is used for application files and can be ext2, ext3, ext4 or FAT32.
ext4 is the latest ext format but several ROMs have issues with it while fewer have issues with ext3 and ext2. FAT works on all ROMs.

I use free "MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition" (windows application) for this.
You can create the second partition without repartitioning, formatting or deleting your existing partition with this tool. Connect your SD card to PC with a card reader or phone itself and make it visible as a drive. Open Minitool select this drive and resize down FAT partition, you will see an unallocated area at the end of the card. Create ext2, ext3 or FAT32 partition in that area (create as primary, not logical), click apply. Unplug from the PC and reboot the phone. (To be on the safe side backup your data before starting)
That's all. Just install Link2SD, it will do all necessary. No need to copy files or run scripts.*
* Some phones lack the ext2, ext3 or ext4 file system support and you may get mount errors like "no such device", "invalid argument". These phones need a matching ext2.ko or ext3.ko modules and even some additional modules to be able to mount.
Using FAT32 on the second partition will eleminate such problems, because FAT32 is supported on all phones.

How it works:
Link2SD mounts the second partition of your SD card as /data/sdext2 and makes OS mounts it at boot time.

When you select an application and press "Create Link" button you can select which files of the application will be linked and moved to SD card. Apk, dex and lib files can be moved and you can select all three or any two of three or even only one of them.
Then, according to your selection, Link2SD moves apk file, dalvik-cache (.dex) file and lib files (.so) to SD card's second partition and creates symbolic links in original directories.

Note: On Android 1.6 and 2.1, shortcut and the widget of the app should be re-added to homescreen if you move the apk file.

Can I remove the links and put application files back to phone?
Yes, just click on application that is linked and press "Remove Link" button. You can select which files of the application will be unlinked and moved back to internal storage.
Then, Link2SD removes the symbolic links and moves the files you selected to original directories.

What happens if I uninstall a linked application?
If you uninstall a linked application apk, dex and lib files will be automatically deleted from the SD card by Link2SD.

What happens if I update a linked application?
If you update a linked application new apk, dex and lib files will be placed in the internal memory at first and then they will be t works:automatically relinked by Link2SD in the background.
You don't have to manually relink after updating applications.
Note: Since the app is linked again, On Android 1.6 and 2.1, shortcut and the widget of the app should be re-added to homescreen if the apk file is linked.

Some points
Link2SD detects applications which are already moved to SD card on Android 2.2+ natively and disables "create link" for them.
System applications should not be linked to SD card. Link2SD does not allow these applications to be linked.
When you connect your phone to PC as mass storage, Android unmounts FAT partition but the second partition remains mounted. Therefore linked applications are not affected and can be run without problems.
Link2SD does not move application's private data directory; it moves apk, dex (dalvik-cache) and lib files.

How to Partition SD Card for Link2SD using Minitool Partition Wizard Home Edition

This tool is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista & Windows 7
requirements: USB SD Card reader.
pull SD card from phone, insert into USB SD Card reader. Windows should report new drive and content of the drive should be visible.

step 1: delete old partitions on SD card
Note: this partition manager QUEUES the operations. So nothing is deleted and changed UNTIL you click "APPLY" and then confirm by clicking "OK".
WARNING!
Make sure you are deleting partition on SD card! (not your hard drive for example)
This step deletes everything on SD card, so backup files first!
Dont be afraid, just read everything and think twice before selecting correct drive.
Do you see three gray icons on the bottom? Under each of them the capacity of each drive is listed, and SD CARD has slightly different icon.
Hard drives on the screenshot have 465.8GB and 74.5GB, and on the bottom, the SD card, with 3.8GB capacity.

step 2: create FAT or FAT32 partition
select "Create As": PRIMARY
Select "File System:" FAT when you have 2GB or smaller card.
Select "File System:" FAT32 when you have 4GB or greater card.

step 3: create ext2 or ext3 or swap partition*

select "Create As": PRIMARY
Select "File System:" ext2 - for App2SD

If you want to create both: do not assign all the space for the first one  this way you will have space for creating second one.

step 4: finish
finally, click "apply" button on top left corner.
partitions will be created and card will be formatted.

How to Apply Link2SD:

1. install Link2SD
2. run Link2sd and select Ext2
3. Phone Reboot
4. After booting the phone run Link2SD
- move all apps to phone that are saved in SD
- refresh the list
- click the apps then create link (dalvik should also remain checked)
- Reboot
- All files on SD Card will be removed in partitioning process.
- Check your internal memory storage capacity

DISCLAIMER: It is made available for use at your own risk with no warranty of any kind.
